I am adding new work, such as this linocut of May Puffins and the etching above of a Ringed Plover on Colonsay, to my website all the time.   To browse the shop click here

John and I will be at the opening of our exhibition at the McGill Duncan Gallery, Castle Douglas on Saturday 11th February.   We’ll be speaking briefly about one or two pieces of work on display.  This is the first exhibition of the year for me and features a number of new pieces of work.

This autumn my new book, Printing Wildlife, will be published by the Langford Press.  It will be the second book in the Wildlife Art Techniques series and will be available in paperback and hardback, priced at £15 and £20 respectively.  This book is more of a “how to” guide than First Impressions and includes a chapter on design as well as comprehensive descriptions of multiplate and reduction linocutting alongside chapters on other techniques which I use.  It is illustrated throughout with examples of my recent work. Copies will be on sale at the Birdfair this month and from this site shortly.

Art on the wing

Once again, this fabulous RSPB Art Exhibition will be starting on July 31st at Rozelle House Galleries in Ayr, and will run until September 11th. Featuring bird and wildlife art in a variety of media by a range of professional artists, the profits will be used in aid of conservation, habitat and species protection administered by RSPB Scotland.  Twenty pieces of my work have been accepted.
