You can view the Open Studios online for free here, or if you’d rather have a hard copy of the brochure and are struggling to find one, I can post one out to you. Here’s the link to my webshop. Apologies for the small charge for P&P.
You can see my work currently on display at the WWT centre at Caerlaverock until March 9th. Also, starting on February 9th I have an exhibition of new work with John Threlfall (SWLA) at the McGill Duncan Castle Douglas.
My latest print, inspired by Long-tailed ducks on the Peedie Sea in Kirkwall is now available here
The Society of Wildlife Artists’ annual Open Exhibition is now available online. The exhibition itself opens at the Mall Galleries on November 2nd and finishes on November 11th.
Still a few days to catch my Bonhoga exhibition finishing on October 1st if you’re on Shetland
My last exhibition at this Gallery at the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club HQ was in 2018. Since then I’ve been working steadily to produce fifty new prints which are all on display here. The prints are inspired by the wildlife of Galloway which is my home and by frequent visits to Orkney and Shetland. There are prints of birds, insects and mammals in my characteristic style. A developing interest in moths is evident! The exhibition features reduction woodcuts and linocuts, hand coloured relief prints, etchings and even a cardboard print…. Unframed prints and cards are also available.
For the first time for a few years I’m able to offer a Christmas card pack, published by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust and featuring a Blue Tit print of mine.

The SWLA’s annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries opens on October 13th and runs until the 22nd. It looks as though it will be stunning! Here’s a link to the online exhibition.
I have 6 prints in the exhibition including this one of a Common Tern in Lerwick harbour and Flight (above); a woodcut of Gulls taking off with the Mull of Galloway in the background.
I’m making my three Pigeonposted designs, made for the recently published notelets (available here from my online shop) available now. They are small editions which are approximately A3 in size and each one features four birds: Curlews, Oystercatchers and Ringed Plovers. They are all reduction linocuts. The price is a bit lower than usual because they were designed as artwork for print, but they are all signed and editioned properly and the work is to my usual standard. Here’s a link to the Oystercatchers sketch in my shop
