Description
This is a Golden Plover in summer plumage. We climbed Ronas Hill (Shetland’s highest point) three times although we only made it to the very top once owing to cloud cover. This little bird was peeping at us as we climbed. The stripes and the red stones are a feature of the hill which is known for its arctic flora.
It is a hand coloured linocut, part of an edition of 30, and the size is 14cm x 27cm.
